Lonicera URBAFLORA® ‘Precipice’
GROUND COVER
Lower growing evergreen
Lonicera URBAFLORA® ‘Precipice’ is a lower-growing evergreen groundcover that provides year-round aesthetic value with its dense carpet of dark glossy leaves. Known for its sweetly scented golden-yellow tubular flowers, this plant is highly attractive to pollinators and occasionally produces small black berries. Its self-rooting stems make it ideal for soil stabilisation and establishment on vertical surfaces, offering both beauty and functionality in urban landscapes.
It improves air quality by capturing airborne particulates, reduces soil water loss, and creates habitats for invertebrates. Additional benefits include weed suppression, cooling and insulating properties, and noise reduction. Suitable for a wide range of soils and gradients, it thrives in full sun or shade and is perfect for green walls and roofs. It densely covers surfaces, and will eventually develop some vertical growth. Recommended planting distance is 30 cm.
