Unlike Hedera helix, ‘Bellecour®’ does not climb vertical surfaces. While light, superficial climbing may occur, the growth naturally falls back before reaching any height. Bellecour® is also distinguished by its larger, more vibrant leaves, offering stronger visual impact without the risk of unwanted climbing.

Hedera Algerian ‘Bellecour®’
GROUND COVER
Non-climbing Evergreen
Hedera Algerian ‘Bellecour®’ helps stabilise the soil and reduce water loss, keeping the ground moist for longer. It creates a safe and supportive environment for invertebrates while also suppressing weed growth. Its natural insulating and cooling properties help regulate surface temperature and reduce surrounding noise. In addition, it supports cleaner air by improving local air quality.

Application
Hedera Algerian ‘Bellecour®’ provides reliable ground cover across a wide range of soil types, except in persistently wet conditions.
It thrives on all gradients and in both sun and shade, making it ideal for green walls and roofs.
When planted in soil, its extension growth will naturally spread to cover hard surfaces.
Leaf colour varies with conditions: in shaded sites with good nutrition, foliage is a rich dark green, while in full sun or nutrient‑poor soils it appears lighter.
